Gabey and Mike takes its name from a song by ‘Mermaid Cafe’ – a folk band comprised of Andi D., Joe A. Rider and Merrill Nisker (now known as ‘Peaches’) – that gained popularity at Canadian Jewish summer camps in the early 90s.
