Crazy Cat Lady focuses on the feral cat crisis in Los Angeles and the dedicated —though at times mischaracterized— volunteers on the front lines of rescue. These animal-lovers include college professors, young students, CPAs, veterinarians, philanthropists, and well-meaning "cat collectors," a.k.a. "Crazy Cat Ladies" (and gentlemen).
There are estimated to be 3,000,000 feral cats in L.A. Due to an injunction that currently prohibits government funding for spaying, neutering, and feline-population control, the onus is solely on these volunteers and donor-supported spay and neuter clinics to attempt to mitigate this seemingly-unsolvable situation.
