NWF 2022’s Best Doc Audience Award winner The Long Rider is coming to Cineplex South Edmonton!

After 11 days, 80 films, and a whole lot of popcorn, NWF 2022 has come to an exciting close!

We are BACK! This year, we are looking at 24 film events happening in-cinema and 26 film events streaming online. In addition, we have a filmmaking master class with the award-winning and multiple NWF screener, Alexandre O. Philipe.

SPECIAL EVENT: Nick Cave & Warren Ellis fans rejoice! We are excited to announce this global cinema event taking place May 11, 2022!

As part of the All-Access Pass perks, passholders can redeem their AAPass ticket credits for attendance to this incredible film event. Screening as part of NorthwestFest 2022.

Every year, our programming director and committees have the daunting (and exciting!) task of watching and narrowing down the prospective festival films. This year, the amount of stunning submissions received has made the job even tougher. We are so grateful for our programming crew! That said, here is a taste of some of the films we have coming your way this May!

We will be hosting both in-person films and a selection of online titles, as well as workshops, a Filmmaking Masterclass, and a very special event on May 11th, 2022. Details to come!
