FRIDAY THE 13th PART III (1982)
**SHOWING in 3D**
Directed by Steve Miner | 90 min | USA
After the success of Parts I & II in 1980 & 1981, Paramount decided to dive headfirst into the early 80's 3D movie craze, utilizing the visual gimmick to inject life into its third chapter. This resulted in one of the highest-grossing films in the franchise, as 1982 audiences were delighted by the over-the-top 3D gags on display.
Kicking off after Part II's (heavily edited) events, Part III delivers more of the same horny teens, summer camp setting, and questionable decision-making found in the first two films, only this time, injected with more fun and humour. It's also where Jason dons the goalie mask for the first time, making this a film artifact worth seeing.
One of the most entertaining films in the series, NorthwestFEARFest is excited to present this screening in old-school 3D! That's right —we're screening the film's original "red lens/blue lens" anaglyph version, complete with retro cardboard 3D glasses. See the film the way audiences saw it in 1982, and get ready for a great audience participation experience!
*NOTE: THIS SCREENING IS IN OLD-SCHOOL ANAGLYPH ("RED / BLUE") 3D. THE FIRST 150 PATRONS WILL RECEIVE FRIDAY THE 13TH-BRANDED 3D GLASSES - YOURS TO KEEP!
